Well, no sooner had I left Durham it flooded. And that theme seems to have followed me this week. Not the flooding but the sunshine and showers: I said theme, not literal reality. I seem to be going through a weird time at the moment, with the positives struggling with the negatives and neither really taking the lead.
One major positive was the release of the new WordLive version. In-house we’ve been calling this 1.5 but that doesn’t really do justice to all the hard work that has been put into it. So if you’d like to see more then head over to a new, more visually appealing WordLive.
The negatives are a lot more personal and one that keeps rearing its head is a lack of focus. There are a lot of things I want to be getting on with but I can’t seem to get myself motivated. The ideas come along, but the ‘get off your backside and do them’ side of things always seems to get ‘rained off’ – that’s the weather theme again.
Still there is much to be thankful for, and in no particular order:
- Mark Brown
- Flushing toilets (you don’t miss them till they’re gone)
- Richard O’Brien
Next week is going to be a very busy one as I try and finish a whole pile of stuff. But all being well I can then kick back a little and implement some of that focus.
