I am overweight. Let me rephrase that. I used to be overweight, but have been looking after myself these past couple of years. I have lost over four inches around my waist and I am almost wearing the same size jeans as when I was twenty. Not bad going me thinks. But I am still overweight.
I am talking about my suitcase. I am at the airport, Portland to be precise and I am overweight. It is the fault of all my journals and books. I have to transfer even more to my exceedingly heavy carry on. It won’t all fit. I end up carrying some additional bits and pieces. I am pushing the ‘one small extra item’ to the limit. I go through security and forget I am carrying my novel. I leave it on the conveyor belt. Fortunately I remember before someone walks off with it.
Over a coffee I try to organise things a little better. Now it is the time for my bullet journal to be in my hands. I wait for my flight. I go to the restroom. I wait back at the gate. I realise my bullet journal isn’t with me. I head back to the restroom but this time I am not so fortunate. The journal is gone. Soon I am gone too. I am travelling overnight back to the UK.
Fast forward to today and I am doing my weekly review / preview. I am starting again, in many ways. I have a blank journal in which to experiment. A clean slate is always good. Sometimes it is exactly what we need to get ourselves back on track. Time for me to dirty my slate… how about you?
